Hire a full stack developer for React, FastAPI and your database
I build complete web products: React front ends, async Python APIs, MongoDB or PostgreSQL data layers, billing, auth and deployment. I also step into existing codebases to fix what is broken. Here is what that looks like on three real projects.
- ~20K-line SaaS, sole developer
- 311 automated tests on one product
- 15-screen multi-role ops portal
A SaaS built front to back: OnOffDeals
I am the sole developer and architect of OnOffDeals, a real-estate deal-analysis SaaS of roughly 20K lines. The front end is a React 18 SPA on Vite with role-gated routes, a hand-built Tailwind design system with light and dark themes, and a Leaflet deal map. The back end is fully async FastAPI with MongoDB (Motor), Redis and Pydantic 2.
- 16 API routers and 20 domain services
- 311 automated tests, including invariant tests on the valuation maths
- Live Stripe billing with trials, coupons, webhooks and usage metering
- Clerk + JWT auth with role-based access, deployed on Vercel and Railway
A multi-role portal for a sales team: PowerSmith
For PowerSmith Energy, a veteran-owned solar company in San Diego, I built a React 18 + Vite marketing site and a FastAPI + MongoDB API on Railway, plus a 15-screen Rep / Team / Admin operations portal. Internal reps and external affiliates get separate bcrypt + JWT token scopes. A commission engine imports rep workbooks server-side and generates PDF statements, and the referral pipeline mirrors into GoHighLevel via webhooks.
Fixing an inherited codebase: Podiam AI
Not every job starts from a blank repo. At Podiam AI I joined a production Django, PostgreSQL, Celery and Next.js codebase. What looked like one bug was three independent defects (an ORM query chain, a serializer mismatch and an unexpected response shape), and I fixed each with its own test. I also replaced a local LaTeX dependency with a serverless LaTeX-to-PDF pipeline and unified PDF, DOCX and Markdown export into one reusable React component over a TypeScript layer.

Frequently asked questions
Do you work with MongoDB or PostgreSQL?
Both are in production in my recent work: OnOffDeals and PowerSmith run on MongoDB, and Podiam AI runs on PostgreSQL with Django. I pick based on how relational your data is and what your team already runs, and I am comfortable inheriting either.
Can you add AI features to a full-stack app?
Yes. OnOffDeals uses Anthropic Claude as an in-app deal coach with prompt guardrails and structured output validation, and the PowerSmith portal has AI content tooling on the Anthropic SDK with structured outputs. I also hold the Claude Certified Developer – Foundations credential.
Which parts of the stack do you cover?
All of it: React, Next.js, Vite and Tailwind on the front end; FastAPI, Django, Flask or Node.js on the back end; MongoDB, PostgreSQL and Redis for data; Stripe, Clerk and webhooks for billing and auth; Docker, Vercel and Railway for deployment.
What does it cost to hire a full stack developer?
My rates start from $20/hour, and defined features or MVPs can be quoted at a fixed price. Book a free intro call, walk me through the product, and I will tell you which approach fits.
