Meta Ads to GoHighLevel tracking that closes the attribution loop

I wire Meta and Google Ads traffic into GoHighLevel so a click can be followed all the way to a conversation in your CRM. Since 2024 I have handled paid media and tracking for BrightLane Property, SharpEdge Property and USA Roofing Supply, with GA4, Google Tag Manager and the Meta Pixel underneath and the campaigns themselves on top.

Closing the loop between ad click and CRM

Ad platforms report leads and the CRM shows contacts, but without tracking in between nobody can say which campaign produced which conversation. I set up GA4, Google Tag Manager and the Meta Pixel on the landing pages, then pass ad traffic into GoHighLevel via webhooks so each lead arrives with its source. Add the GoHighLevel chat widget and A2P 10DLC-registered texting, and you have closed-loop, click-to-conversation attribution.

What a Meta Ads to GoHighLevel setup covers

Tracking tends to break at the hand-offs: a tag fires on the wrong page, a form posts without its source, or follow-up texts are filtered because the number was never registered. I handle each hand-off, from the tag manager to the CRM record, so the numbers in the ad platforms and in GoHighLevel can be reconciled.

Landing pages built to convert and to rank

Tracking only helps if the page is worth landing on. I build landing pages on WordPress with SEO structuring, as I have for Axiom Realty Solutions, or as React and Vite sites like the one I built for PowerSmith Energy, with JSON-LD and Open Graph tags. Lead forms can be bot-protected with Cloudflare Turnstile, which keeps junk submissions out of your CRM.

What happens after the lead lands

Attribution only pays off if the lead gets worked. In GoHighLevel I build missed-call text-back that assigns and tags the contact and alerts the rep, IVR call routing, and multi-channel outreach where one trigger fans out to email, SMS, CRM updates, tasks and timed follow-up sequences. For BrightLane, SharpEdge and USA Roofing Supply I also handle content and community management alongside the ads.

Frequently asked questions

Why don’t my Meta leads show their source in GoHighLevel?

Usually because the source is lost at a hand-off: the form, a redirect or the webhook into the CRM doesn’t carry it. I trace a test lead from ad click to contact record, find where the data drops and fix that step in GTM, the page or the webhook.

What is A2P 10DLC and do I need it?

A2P 10DLC is the US carrier registration for businesses texting customers from standard 10-digit numbers. If your GoHighLevel follow-up relies on SMS to US contacts, registration is needed for reliable delivery, and I handle it as part of the CRM setup.

Do you run the ad campaigns or only the tracking?

Both. I run Meta and Google Ads for real-estate lead generation and handle content and community management, and I build the tracking and CRM wiring underneath. One person owning both means nobody has to translate between the media buyer and the developer.

What does tracking and attribution setup cost?

From $20/hour, with a fixed-price quote for a defined setup such as GTM, GA4, Meta Pixel and GoHighLevel webhooks on one funnel. Book a free 30-minute call and I will look at what is already in place before quoting.
