Solar CRM automation for installers with real sales teams
Solar companies run on referrals, reps and commission maths, and most of it ends up in spreadsheets nobody fully trusts. I build the portal, the referral program and the commission engine that keep reps, partners and the office looking at the same numbers, synced with GoHighLevel.
- PowerSmith portal: 15 screens
- Referrals mirrored into GoHighLevel
- Ops Portal for 10–80 rep teams
Where solar sales operations break
A solar installer with a growing rep team tends to hit the same knots. Referrals come in from partners and nobody is sure which rep gets credit. Commission workbooks are emailed around and argued over. The CRM knows about the lead but not the payout. Training, SOPs and brand assets sit in scattered folders. Each problem is small, but together they wear down trust between reps and the office.
The PowerSmith Energy sales operations portal
Since July 2026 I have been the contract AI full-stack developer for PowerSmith Energy, a veteran-owned solar company in San Diego covering residential and commercial solar, battery storage and EV charging. I built a Rep, Team and Admin sales operations portal with 15 screens on React 18, backed by a FastAPI and MongoDB API on Railway, with separate token scopes for internal reps and external affiliates.
- Live org chart with recruitment lines
- Training, SOPs and brand assets in one place
- Digital business cards with QR codes

Referral tracking, commissions and GoHighLevel sync
Partners sign themselves up, get their own referral links and watch live dashboards. Every referral carries both the partner and the rep, and the referral pipeline is mirrored into GoHighLevel through webhooks, so the CRM and the portal agree. The commission engine imports rep commission workbooks on the server, derives payouts from pipeline stage on configurable bands, and generates PDF commission statements so the rep and the office hold the same document.
A productized Ops Portal for 10–80 rep teams
The PowerSmith portal is now also offered through my studio, Charyx Labs, as a productized Ops Portal for sales teams of 10 to 80 reps in solar, roofing, insurance and real-estate brokerages. Instead of starting from a blank page, we start from a portal already running for a solar team and adapt it to your commission bands, pipeline stages, GoHighLevel setup and brand.

Frequently asked questions
Can solar CRM automation work with our existing GoHighLevel account?
Yes. At PowerSmith Energy the referral pipeline is mirrored into GoHighLevel through webhooks, so reps keep working in the CRM they know while the portal handles partner sign-up, dashboards and commissions. I can connect to an account you already run in the same way.
How are solar rep commissions calculated?
Payouts are derived from pipeline stage on configurable bands, using rep commission workbooks imported on the server rather than edited in a browser. Each payout produces a server-generated PDF statement, so the rep and the office read the same document when questions come up.
Is the Ops Portal only for solar companies?
It was built for a solar installer, but Charyx Labs offers it to sales teams of 10 to 80 reps in solar, roofing, insurance and real-estate brokerages. Wherever reps, referral partners and commission bands meet, the same structure applies.
What does it cost?
My rate starts from $20/hour, and defined scopes such as an Ops Portal setup or a referral program get a fixed-price quote. Book a free 30-minute call and bring a sample of your commission workbook; it makes scoping much quicker.
